Free Dating Ideas

Meeting people is a hard enough challenge all
by itself. What can be even harder though is
meeting somebody you like and then getting them
to like you back! You need to have ideas of
what to do and where to go to ensure that you
go from first date to second date. Here is a
resource of free dating ideas that should help
you on your quest.

First dates are great, but the goal is always
to get to number two and three! Even if you’ve
been in a long term relationship, it’s never
too late to get some new free dating ideas and
rekindle some of that early magic.

Free Dating Ideas for Where to Go

Dinner and a movie anybody? Yes, it’s a standby
, but it’s also been done a million times. It’s
hard to stand out or leave an impression by making
that one of your first dates. Further, during a
movie you can’t really interact with the other
person. So how are you supposed to get to know
them and establish a rapport? Try these free
dating ideas instead:

• Go to a sporting event. Sporting events
are like movies in that they give you something
to watch. If conversation falls short, you can
always turn to that game. But the key is that they
actually give you a chance for conversation! Plus,
sharing a moment of victory, having a competitive
battle between each of your favorite teams or agonizing
together over a heartbreaking loss can be great
ways to bond.

(1) Try a comedy club, because everybody
loves laughing. In the same way that comedians
often have hosts go on before them to loosen up
the crowds, the comedian can do that for you and
your date. When somebody is naturally in a
laughing and festive mood, they want to keep on
being that way and it’s easy to do so.

(2) Use some physical energy and get outside.
Find out what your date enjoys doing outside and
take advantage of it. Maybe he or she is a hiking
enthusiast, likes walking through historic towns,
loves playing basketball, going running or
kayaking, or anything else. Working up a sweat
together is a great way to share an interest, get
to know each other and work up some chemistry.

(3) Learn something for a change by going to
a museum or art event. These places and events
are great because you get to see into each others
minds a little bit. How did he or she react to this
piece of work or what do they think about that? It
gives you an understanding of who that person really
is, and you get to do the same for yourself. Of
course, bonus points if you go into something with
some background knowledge that you can break out at
the right moment and impress with.

(4) Find a way to unabashedly show off some of your
talents or strong points. If you’re a musician, take
your date to one of your gigs. If you play in a sports
league, show off your skills by convincing your date
to watch you play. Whatever it is that you do for a
hobby and are good at, find a way to get your date
involved and see you in action. Talent and passion
are characteristics that draw people in to you and
make them want to know more.
